Cardinals Contend at Muhlenberg Invitational
Won does well in the hurdles
ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The Catholic University women's track and field squad competed at a large meet held at Muhlenberg College on Saturday. The Mules hosted nearly 700 athletes overall with over 1,100 entries.
The Cardinals had three runners break into the top ten at the highly-competitive invitational. Freshman Rachel Won (Kaneohe, Hi./'Iolani School) broke away from the pack to take fourth in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:09.53. She was also seventh in the 100 hurdles crossing the finish line with a 16.82. In the distance events, senior Alys Cheatle (Hickory, N.C./St. Stevens) continued to have a good spring season as she placed fifth in the 5,000 meters running a 19:11.53.
The Cardinals will compete at the Messiah College Invitational this weekend in Gratham, Pa.
