Women's Track Competes in Bridgewater Invitational

BRIDGEWATER, Va.- The CUA women’s track and field team earned great success in the Bridgewater College Invitational Saturday afternoon, recording one first-place finish and three second-place finishes in the meet.

Katie Sacker (Catonville, Md.) finished atop the 3000 meter run, earning a time of 11:13.16. The freshman also placed third in the 1500 meter run with a time of 5:03.88.

Rachel Won (Kaneohe, Hi./'Iolani School) earned a second-place finish for the Cardinals, completing the 400 meter hurdles in a time of 1:11.48. Kristen Kennedy (Great falls, Va./Kolbe Academy) also finished second in the high jump, at 8.00. Kelly Carioto (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) rounded out CUA’s top finishes, earning second-place in the women’s shot put with a distance of 11.04m.

CUA will return to action on Saturday April 4th, as they travel to York College for a 10 a.m., meet
