Women's Track Earns 2nd at Goucher Invitational
TOWSON, Md.- CUA's women's track team saw great success at the Goucher Invitatinal over the weekend, including a number of individual first place finishes. The team finished second at the meet overall.
Kelly Caroito had another stellar performance for the Cardinals, earning two of the teams' top finishes alone. The sophomore first won the shot put with a toss of 11.79m, and then finished first in the discus with a throw of 32.02 meters.
Rounding out the first place finishes for CUA were Kelly Szal, Laura Kinley, and Megan Dietzler. Szal finished first in long jump with a leap of 4.76 meters, while Kinley and Dietzler nabbed first place finishes in the 800 meter dash and 3000 meter steeplechase, respectively.
Suzanne Dawyot was among the top finishers for the Cardinals, earning second in the high jump at 1.42 meters. Rachel Won earned second and third in the 400 meter hurdles and 100 meter hurdles, respectively. Senior Remy Ball rounded out the top finishes for the Cardinals by earning third in the 1500 meters.
CUA will be back in action on Friday, April 9, as they head to the Messiah College Invitational for a 10 a.m., meet.
