Kelly Szal is in her third season as an assistant coach with the CUA women's track and field program. Szal serves as the sprints, jumps and hurdles coach for the Cardinals.  A 2010 graduate of Catholic University, Szal is in charge of organizing and instructing practices at CUA and also assists with recruiting.

During her time as an undergrad, Szal was a member of the Cardinals track and field team, participating in hurdles and jumps.  A native of New York, Szal placed third in the heptathlon at the 2010 Landmark Conference championship and is the school record holder in the triple jump.  In addition, she was a member of Catholic Athletes for Christ (CAC).

In addition to coaching Szal currently works as an Administrative Assistant in the CUA Department of Athletics.
