Landmark Conference names Crimmins Player of the Week

WASHINGTON – Senior Kelly Crimmins was named the Landmark Conference Player of the Week on Monday.  Crimmins helped lead CUA to a 4-0 week with 23 kills, 18 blocks and four digs.

A native of Virginia, Crimmins began her week with three kills and four blocks in a win over McDaniel on Wednesday.  She then tallied seven kills and eight blocks vs. Ohio Christian on Friday.

Crimmins kept her strong play up with eight kills and a pair of blocks as CUA downed Lancaster Bible, and she closed things out with five kills and four blocks vs. Washington College.

Crimmins finished the week hitting .373 in helping lead CUA to four consecutive sweeps.

Crimmins has tallied 62 kills and 31 blocks through 12 matches for the 9-3 Cardinals.

Crimmins and the rest of the Cardinals will return to action on Friday evening when they hit the road to face No. 4 Christopher Newport.  Start time is set for 7 p.m.
