CUA Volleyball Falls to Washington College in Five-Set Road Contest

WASHINGTON – The Catholic University women's volleyball team dropped to 14-12 on the season with a five-set 25-17, 25-19, 23-25, 24-26, 8-15 loss to Washington College on Tuesday, Oct. 15 in Chestertown, Md.

In the extended set match, Mary Paige Nesfeder finished with a season-high 22 kills, as Mariana Cruz tallied her second best assist outing with 43.  Nesfeder added three service aces to team's total seven.  Defensively, Michelle Bouchard, Kalen Backe, Cruz and Nesfeder each amassed double-figure digging numbers with Bouchard at 35, Backe at 20, Cruz at 14 and Nesfeder at 12.

The Cards will host Landmark Weekend #2 this upcoming Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 19-20.
