Season in Review
The volleyball team put together its second consecutive 30-win season and capped a difficult conference schedule by sweeping through and winning the CAC Tournament. Catholic survived a tough match against Gallaudet in the opening round before upsetting top seed Mary Washington in the semifinals and York (Pa.) in the finals, both on the road. The Cardinals were led by senior middle hitter Cris Waterhouse, who led the nation with 6.18 digs per game and was in the top 10 with 4.46 kills per game. She recorded her 1,000th career kill at the Gallaudet Tournament, which Catholic won without losing a single game in six matches. Waterhouse was named First Team All-CAC, while sophomore Kristin Bufka, second to Waterhouse on the team in both digs and kills, was named to the second team. Head Coach Nagy Abdelrazek was named CAC Coach of the Year. The team as a whole finished 14th in Division III with 22.23 digs per game.
