Carroll named Landmark Conference Player of the Week
WASHINGTON – Following a week in which she helped lead CUA
to a 3-1 record by totaling at least 36 assists in all four
matches, junior Michaela Carroll was named the Landmark Conference
Player of the Week on Monday. Carroll helped the Cardinals
defeat Lancaster Bible, Moravian and Goucher.
Carroll totaled 165 assists and 51 digs for CUA last week,
averaging 9.7 assists and 3.0 digs per set. She started the
week with 36 assists and 11 digs in a 3-1 win for the Cardinals
over Lancaster Bible.
Carroll then helped lead the Cardinals to a pair of wins over
Landmark Conference foes as she registered 51 assists and 18 digs
vs. Moravian and 38 assists and five digs against Goucher.
Carroll closed out the week with 40 assists and 17 digs at
Susquehanna.
For the season Carroll has appeared in 60 sets for CUA and totaled
a team-leading 407 assists, 125 digs and 17 kills. She also
has 11 aces.
Carroll and the rest of the Cardinals will play four matches this
week, beginning on Wednesday evening with a home showdown vs. St.
Mary’s. Start time is slated for 7:00.
