Cardinals fall to Bison 3-0 on the road
WASHINGTON – CUA fell to a strong Gallaudet squad on
Wednesday evening by a 3-0 score. CUA dropped the first set
25-19 before falling in a down-to-the-wire 25-23 second set.
Gallaudet then took the third and deciding set 25-18 to earn the
win.
With the loss CUA falls to 15-13, while the Bison improve to
20-11.
Leading the way for CUA on the night was Claudia Jean with 11
kills and 14 digs and Katie Chefalas with ten digs and five
kills. Kelly Crimmins added six kills and three blocks, while
Michaela Carroll was the team leader with 22 assists.
For Gallaudet, Ann Whited led the team with 12 kills, while Mari
Klassen added 11. Klassen also totaled 12 digs and Paige
Johnson handed out a match-best 34 assists.
CUA is now off for nine days before returning to action on October
29 when the Cardinals take on Messiah and Misericordia on the
campus of Messiah.
