Tashi Sakota is in his sixth season as an assistant coach with
the Catholic University volleyball program. He grew up
in Omaha, Nebraska where he began playing volleyball as a
sophomore for his high school club volleyball team and has
been playing for over 18 years.
After earning a B.S. in business management from the Marriot School of Management at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, Sakota received his Juris Doctor at the University of Idaho College of Law in Moscow, Idaho in 2007. While in law school in Idaho, Sakota played setter, right side and middle hitter for the University of Idaho's men’s club volleyball team. Sakota continued his legal studies at Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. and received a Master’s of Laws (LL.M.) in taxation in 2008. He is a Maryland licensed attorney and currently works in Greenbelt, Maryland as Associate General Counsel at Vecna Technologies, Inc.
Sakota and his wife Holli reside in Gaithersburg, Maryland with their son Aidan and daughter Kaitlyn.
