Pair of top-ten performances carry CUA to third place finish

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Led by top-ten finishes from Camelia Mayfield and Laura Kinley, CUA posted an impressive third place finish at the 2011 Landmark Conference championship on Saturday.  Mayfield placed third in 24:46.40, while Kinley crossed in ninth place in 25:27.40, with both runners earning All-Conference honors.

Host Moravian took the top spot in the team standings with 43 points, followed by Goucher (51), CUA (83), Susquehanna (86), Scranton (12), Juniata (133) and Merchant Marine Academy (199).

Other runners that competed for CUA on Saturday included Keely Eckberg, who finished in 17th place in 26:07.30, Katie Sacker who came in 24th in 26:43.60, Grace Lally, who posted a 29th place finish in 26:52.90, Rebecca Radcliffe (39), Madeline Holtz (41), Kathryn Crawford (60), Emma Needham (63), and Corrine Dolan (64).

Moravian's Cadee Rockwell (24:12.00) and Kristina Ruggiero (24:38.30) took the top two individual spots.

CUA returns to the trail in two weeks when the Cardinals head to Sequin, Texas to compete at the NCAA Regional championship on November 15.  Action begins at 11 a.m.
