Kinley finishes 19th at UMES Invite to lead Cardinals
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – With a time of 19:44.71, CUA’s
Laura Kinley finished 19th at the UMES Invite on Saturday morning
to lead the Cardinals individually. CUA scored 153 points to
place sixth in the team standings, defeating the likes of Delaware
State, Coppin State and Howard in the process.
Along with Kinley, CUA had four other runners finish in the top-50, including Keely Eckberg in 26th place with a time of 19:59.84, Katie Sacker, who finished 36th in 20:45.08, Madeline Holtz, who placed 42nd in a time of 21:40.00, and Grace Lally who crossed in 22:36.58, good for 50th place.
Other CUA runners that competed included Kathryn Crawford (52), Corrine Dolan (54), Katherine McQuinn (62), Rebecca Radcliffe (63), and Erin Quigley (67).
Towson was the team champion with 17 points, followed by the University of Pittsburgh with 60, Maryland Eastern Shore (109), Norfolk State (133) and Morgan State (133).
Katie Ogden of Towson crossed first in a time of 18:00.59 to earn the individual championship.
CUA is now off for two weeks before returning to action on Friday, September 30 at the nationally known Paul Short Run on the campus of Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa.
