CUA Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Squads Take Sixth Place

WASHINGTON – Both the men's and women's cross country teams took sixth place during Catholic University's CUA XC Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 7 at the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Washington, D.C.

The home event, which consisted of a 6K women's race and an 8K men's race, welcomed teams from American, George Washington, Goucher, Howard, Juniata, and Moravian.

Matthias Arauco-Shapiro crossed the finish line first for the Cards with a time of 20:36.40 to gather 17 points.

On the women's side, Rebecca Radcliffe reached the finish first for the Cardinals with a time of 25:29.30 for 18 points.

The men's squad returns to all-terrain action on Saturday, Sept. 14 for the Navy Invitational, as the women's team continues the season on Saturday, Sept. 21 for the Messiah Invitational.
