YORK, Pa. - Freshman Rachel Yates (Wilton, Maine/Mount Blue) finished second overall and Catholic placed four runners in the top 16 as the Cardinals finished second of six teams at the Capital Athletic Conference championships at John Rudy Park on Nov. 9.

Yates, who also was named the CAC Rookie of the Year, finished 37 seconds behind the leader, Erin Connelly of Mary Washington, turned in her fastest time of the season.

Teammates Rebecca Freyvogel (Pittsburgh, Pa./Oakland Catholic) and Katie Hazlett (Island Heights, NJ/Monsignor Donovan) also garnered All-CAC Second Team honors. Freyvogel finished 14th while Hazlett was right behind her in 15th place.
