SALISBURY, MD. - Sophomore Rachel Yates (Wilton, Maine/Mount Blue) was the first Cardinal in 10 years to capture the individual title at the 2003 Capital Athletic Conference Championships hosted by Salisbury University.
Angela Cloukhoff last won a CAC Championship for Catholic in 1993.
Senior Rebcca Freyvogel (Pittsburgh, Pa./Oakland Catholic) placed seventh and along with Yates, earned a First-Team All-CAC honors.
Mary Washington placed five runners in the top 10 to claim the overall team title.
The Cardinals resume action on November 15th as they travel to Atlanta, Ga. to compete in the NCAA South Regionals hosted by Emory University.
