CUA Takes Ninth at NYU Invite
The Catholic University women’s cross country team finished ninth overall at the NYU Invitational on Saturday. The team scored 308 points overall, 22 schools competed at the event.

CUA Finishes Third at Generals’ Invitational
Catholic University women’s cross country started the season off right Saturday morning at the Washington & Lee Generals’ Cross Country Invitational. The squad took third place overall scoring 61 points. Run against a number of schools in their South Region, the Cards showed why they were picked to finish first in the Landmark Conference this season

The Catholic University of America women’s cross country team has been picked as the favorite in the first season of competition in the Landmark Conference as selected in the Landmark Preseason Women’s Cross Country Poll.

Six Cardinals Earn University Honors
Last Thursday evening The Catholic University of America held its Student Leadership Recognition Celebration. Among the 27 undergraduate awards given out, seven were honored with six receiving individual recognition. Kelli McErlean, a member of the track and field squad, was one of the masters of ceremonies and also received one of the twelve Student Activities Awards for her work with campus ministry.

Women Place Seventh at NCAA Regionals
The Catholic University took seventh place at NCAA Regionals Saturday morning in Atlanta, Ga. The team narrowly missed out on a berth to the NCAA Chmpionship meet. Mary Shashaty (Scotch Plains, N.J./Scotch Plains-Fanwood) and Jenna Hackett (Fort Collins, Colo./Fort Collins) both finished in the top 30 and were named to the All-Region squad.

Ball and Fisher Honored by CAC
Two members of the Catholic University of America women’s cross country squad were honored by the Capitol Athletic Conference last weekend. Freshman Remy Ball (Newtown, Conn./Newtown) was named the CAC Rookie of the Year after a successful season and outstanding performance at the conference meet. Head coach Joe Fisher was honored as the CAC Coach of the Year four the fourth time in his career.

Women’s Cross Country Third at CAC
The Catholic University women’s cross country team placed third at the CAC Championship Saturday morning in Salisbury, Md. The host Sea Gulls won the meet with 28 points while the University of Mary Washington Eagles had 37 points for second. CUA came in with 66 points overall. Despite winning the meet the Cardinal squad was honored with head coach Joe Fisher receiving CAC Coach of the Year honors and freshman Remy Ball (Newton, Conn./Newton) winning CAC Rookie of the Year.

CUA Women’s Cross Country Wins Nevins Invitational
The Catholic University women’s cross country team won the Nevins Invitational on Saturday in Pennsylvania. Although the event featured nine teams and 84 runners it was basically a two-team race between CUA and the host East Stroudsburg with the Cards coming out on top.

Women Go 2-1 At Quad Meet
The CUA women’s cross country team went 2-1 at the Messiah College quad meet on Saturday in Grantham, Pa. The team ran against some of the top squads in the region and in the country, but was able to place three runners in the top 20.

Women’s Cross Country Wins York College Invitational
Coming in at a time of 20:10, sophomore Jenna Hackett (Fort Collins, Colo./Fort Collins) won the York College Invitational Saturday in York, Pa. The Cardinal runners finished one and two as well as placing four more in the top 25.

Women Take Fourth at NYU Invitational
The Catholic University of American women’s cross-country team had another good weekend by finishing fourth out of 28 teams and 262 competitors at the NYU Cross Country Invitational at Van Cortland Park on Saturday. In one of the most competitive meets of the season, the Cards fared well.

Women Place Second at Washington & Lee Invite
The Catholic University Women’s Cross Country team took home a second place finish at the 10-team Generals Invite Saturday morning. With eight runner finishing in the top 25 and seven scoring points, it was a successful day for the Cardinals.
