Women's XC Places 2nd at York College Invitational

WASHINGTON- The Catholic University of America's women's cross country team earned a solid second place finish at the York College Invitational Saturday afternoon. The squad finished just behind Franklin and Marshall with a time of 1:44:19.

Among the top finishers for CUA were Remy Ball (Newtown, Conn./Newtown), Katie Sacker (Catonville, Md), Madeline Cronan (Denver, Colo./Bishop Machebeuf), and Ashley Suerman (Mahwah, N.J./Depaul Catholic).

Ball earned fourth place with a time of 20:24, while teammate Sacker earned sixth. Sacker finished the course in 20:35.

Cronan was another stellar force for the Cardinals, finishing 15th in the race with a time of 21:07. Rounding out the top 20 was Suerman in 18th place, completing the course in 21:23.

The squad will return to action on October 3rd, as they host the CUA Invitational in Washington, D.C. The meet will start at 10 a.m.
