Cronan, Mayfield earn All-Conference honors for CUA
TOWSON, Md. – Madeline Cronan finished sixth at the 2010
Landmark Conference championship on Saturday and earned a spot on
the All-Conference first-team, while teammate Camelia Mayfield
crossed in 12th place and was named to the second-team.
As a team CUA scored 101 points and placed sixth out of the seven
schools in attendance. Susquehanna was the team champion with
51 points, followed by Scranton (74), Juniata (85), Goucher (87),
Moravian (92), CUA (101) and Merchant Marine Academy (204).
Cronan crossed in a time of 24:11.50 and Mayfield finished in
24:38.70 as her stellar freshman season continues.
Other Cardinals that scored on Saturday include Meghan Dietzler in
20th place (25:11.60), Katherine Sacker in 31st (26:08.50), Laura
Kinley in 33rd place (26:10.90), Keely Eckberg in 42nd place
(26:46.50) and Jessica Breen in 43rd place with a time of
26:47.60.
Rounding out the Cardinals contingent of runners were Jamie
Dalgleish (56), Kristen Rayfield (66), Kathryn Crawford (67) and
Katherine McQueen (68).
Alycia Woodruff of Susquehanna was the top individual finisher
with a time of 23:04.70.
CUA will return to action on November 14 when the Cardinals travel
to Memphis, Tenn., to compete at the NCAA Regional
championship. Action begins at 11:00 AM.
