Cardinals place third in Philly; Mayfield top CUA finisher again
PHILADELPHIA – The Catholic University women’s cross
country team raced its way to a third place showing at the
Philadelphia Metro Meet on Saturday. The Cardinals
accumulated 110 points as they took third place out of 20
schools.
Camelia Mayfield again led CUA as she crossed in 11th place with a
time of 22:03.97. Katherine Sacker also had another strong
day as she finished in 21st place with a time of 22:42.03 and Laura
Kinley was right behind her in 22nd as she crossed in 22:44.45.
Meghan Dietzler crossed in 22:50.82, which was good for 25th place
and Madeline Cronan finished in a time of 23:35.91, placing her in
32nd place.
Other Cardinals that competed included Keely Eckberg (42nd),
Jessica Brown (51st), Madeline Holtz (73rd), Jamie Dalgleish
(82nd), Katherine McQuinn (98th), Kathryn Crawford (106th), Kristen
Rayfield (114th) and Alli Taylor (153rd).
Philadelphia University was the top team finisher with 79 points,
followed by Ursinus with 81 and CUA with 110. Sarah Simonetti
of Philadelphia U. was the top individual with a time of
20:12.41.

CUA will return to action on Saturday, October 2 when the
Cardinals host the CUA Invitational. The race is slated to
begin at 11:00 AM.
