Cardinals host Gophers in 2010 CUA Invite
WASHINGTON – The CUA women’s cross country team went
up against conference foe Goucher on Saturday in the 2010 CUA
Invitational. The Cardinals fell to the Gophers by a score of
25-31 as Goucher took the top three spots. Camelia Mayfield
was CUA’s top finisher with a time of 25:19.60, good for
fourth place overall.
Other Cardinals that placed in the top-ten included Madeline
Cronan, who finished fifth with a time of 25:58.20, Meghan
Dietzler, who placed sixth in a time of 26:22.40, Laura Kinley, who
crossed in 26:58.60 and placed seventh, Keely Eckberg, who placed
ninth with a time of 27:20.00, and Jessica Breen, who finished in
27:45.70 and placed tenth.
Jamie Dalgleish, who placed 12th with a time of 28:41.00, Madeline
Holtz (13), Kathryn Crawford (14), Katherine McQuinn (15) and
Kristen Rayfield (16) rounded out the Cardinals lineup.
Goucher’s Kelsey Myette was first individually with a time
of 23:56.10, while Hadley Couraud was second as she finished in
25:13.00.
CUA will return to the trail on Saturday, October 9 when the
Cardinals compete at the First Generation College Bound, Inc. 5K in
Laurel, Md. Race time is set for 9:00 AM.
