Landmark Announces Fall All-Academic Team
The Landmark Conference has announced that 32 student-athletes have been honored with selection to the 2007 Fall Landmark All-Academic Team. Two male and two female athletes from each of the eight Landmark institutions were selected for the team which honors athletes who have excelled athletically and academically. Nominees could compete in any of the Landmark fall sports and must be a sophomore or older with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better. [MORE]

Cheatle Competes at NCAA Championship
Senior Alys Cheatle (Hickory, N.C./St. Stephen's) competed at the NCAA women's cross country championship Saturday morning held at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn. Cheatle was the lone Cardinal to qualify from the South Region and was the first Catholic University runner to earn a trip to the event since 1991. [MORE]

Cheatle Qualifies for NCAA Championship
Alys Cheatle (Hickory, N.C./St. Stephen's) ran her way into the Catholic University record books Saturday at the NCAA South Region Cross Country meet. Cheatle, a senior, finished 13th overall with a time of 23:58 earning all-region honors and a trip to the NCAA Championship, the first for a Catholic University runner since 1991. Three Cardinals Named All-Landmark Conference
The Catholic University women's cross country took third at the Landmark Conference meet Saturday at Goucher College. The Cardinals scored 82 points wich placed them third behind Juniata (64) and Moravian (75). CUA had three runners named to the all-conference squad including one to the first team. [MORE]
