Men’s Soccer players team up with Attorney General Holder to help serve

On Monday, Jan.18th, 5 members of the Cardinals soccer team joined countless others across the country for the Martin Luther King Jr. day of service. The players went to Youth Service Opportunities Project (YSOP) to help cook and serve for over 55 of the District’s hungry and homeless. The players were joined by another guest volunteer, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder. YSOP is a nationally recognized leader in providing high-quality volunteer service experiences for young people. The director of YSOP in Washington is Dimitry Beauchamp, wife of head coach Travis Beauchamp.

“We are very proud of our guys”, Coach Beauchamp says. “They gave up a day off to get up at 6AM and help within the community. We always talk about having players with a high quality of character and this is just another example of that.”
